Hello,
If you’re receiving this, you were probably a subscriber to the American Communities Project’s monthly newsletter. We are writing to tell you we have created a site on Substack, and with this email, we are inviting you to become a subscriber to our content there. You will be alerted when we have new content — some of which will only be available on the platform. We plan to have live discussions with contributors and with people living in different kinds of communities around the country.
Why are we doing this?
We have seen the growth of Substack in recent months and feel it is a good way to reach out with fresh content, including videos, and be part of a growing online community. We’re still learning the potential of the platform, but want to see how we can use it to put our data and analysis in front of more people. That includes you. We view this as a way to build a better relationship with our audience as well.
What do you do now?
If you are interested in receiving our blogs and data and videos over Substack, you don’t have to do anything. It won’t impact our other contacts with you. You’ll still receive our monthly newsletter. But we hope you will come along on this ride. The United States is an increasingly complicated place going through a very tumultuous time. Our goal is to help everyone get out of their bubbles and make the U.S. all a little more understandable.
Take care and see you on the platform.
-Dante and Ari
